This game whisked me away to a scenario that is very close to the heart for me: dodging alien ships inside a sandstorm.
Music: 7/10. The music was whimsical and generally went with the flying theme. However, given the ever present danger of alien ships, I would have excepted some sort of crescendo escalation of speed and tempo of the music.
Visuals: 9/10. I was delightfully surprised at the sheer number of alien ships crammed into the fly area. I felt like Bill Pullman dog fighting near the end of Independence Day right before Randy Quaid turns his kids into orphans.
Gameplay: 6/10. I appreciated the ability to bank and flip at will, but was displeased at the lack of 'barrel roll' ability. If Fox McClouds rival Star Wolf saunters in, I'm missing 50% of my defensive capabilities. Peppy O'Hare would be wasting his breath advising me to 'Try a Barrel Roll'. Shame.
Overall: I got close to a score of 69,420, and pretty sure I saw green barrels of nuclear waste raining down as well, but I could have just been disoriented due the G Force of my chaotic maneuvers.

I really just had fun navigating the ship. It was surprisingly fun.
